Best Italian not only in Hürth but also from Cologne !!!

I ordered a pizza to pick up there the day before yesterday. Half salami and half tonno. It was one of the best pizza I've ever eaten! One more addition. Have eaten the beef tenderloin several times. Always perfect medium and first class quality!

An excellent Italian and the guests know that. Reservation is essential. Only the long wait (with us it was an hour) is a downer. We suspect that takeaway orders demand the expiration in the relatively small kitchen to the utmost. That's why only 4 stars.

Ristorante Pizzeria San Marco - first of all one aspect: Finally a place that can be called ristorante for a good reason (more on that later) - pizzeria even more so. First of all I would like to mention the following: The ambience is very cozy, unmistakably Italian, with good taste and great attention to detail. So you can find appealing decorations in the form of vegetables, in line with the autumn season, which anticipates something that can be found and ordered on the menu. This is varied and as you can imagine a menu in Italy (if you could dine at Bel Paese you know what I'm talking about). Here the house offers various specialties in the area of ​​antipasti (definitely try the bruschetta and the original Calabrian salami), main courses (we recommend the filled ravioli, very freshly prepared, but also an amatriciana tastes great here) and other "secondi" such as meat dishes and fish , which are especially lovingly prepared (salmon with lemon sauce comes first). And the pizza tastes very, very good, it depends on the ingredients, for example you can tell that the dough was prepared properly. Of course you will find a large selection of vini bianchi and rossi here, but since I drink very rarely I recommend contacting the waitress. They know their way around and can recommend the right wine for every dish. Furthermore, the desserts should also be mentioned, from panna cotta to cassata siciliana and tiramisù everything tasted here without exception. By the way, all dishes are freshly prepared, so you wait a few minutes longer than anywhere else, which is absolutely ok for me, because I personally value the quality and freshness of the ingredients. In the end, I never checked my watch during my stay, a sign that everything was done correctly. Finally, a word about the staff: I have rarely been treated so warmly and courteously, all employees seem to know the wishes of the customers and you can tell that they are a well-coordinated team. The owner Pasquale Toscano sometimes even has the time to talk to customers and ask whether everything was OK. I think it's very nice and in my opinion this creates a certain customer loyalty, I would go back again and again and would recommend the restaurant to those who want to immerse themselves in the real Italy. 5 ⭐️ for me and one of the best restaurants in the Cologne / Bonn area.

We are there every now and then when we are in the area and it is always consistent quality and brisk service. Everything perfect. We will be back.
